14 Data Centre Business Leader of the Year

This Award recognises the person who in the view of the judges has done the most over the past 12 months to build the business case for the data centre to key stakeholder groups whether they be investors, shareholders, financiers, owners, operators, the media etc. While EMEA economies continue to show mixed prospects for growth in the short and medium term the data centre sector like most others is having to continue to fight for investment funds, to build a more robust risk profile in an environment of increasing IT requirements, increasing resource pressures and budgetary constraints. The business case might be the attraction of investment funds for new build, the successful flotation or share price growth of a data centre based company or the development or adoption of new business, asset management or technology-derived strategies to maximise the value of or the return from data centres.

2010 Winner: Eric Schwartz - European President Equinix

2009 Winner: Michael Tobin - TelecityGroup CEO
